There is such a lovely flow to this image. The river Avon, at least a bit of it. Summer 2019, a most lovely evening.
Let your eye flow through the picture, along the dancing blue/green water grass that sway in the flow, up the lush yellow green of the tree where the top decides to be a bit brighter, more vibrant, as if to say. Look at me. Then you explore the right side, in the open, filled with light and all the colours an English summer field should be. Even the sky is perfect.
I photograph this little piece of England every time I'm there, almost like a pilgrimage for me. Normally I'm usually here alone to enjoy, the way I prefer it, but this time there was a young man fishing from the footbridge we both shared, when I asked if he has caught anything he said he just had a large Pike on the line. That would have been great to see.
Never point your camera into the sun they say. Well if I hadn't, then none of you would see this. The opposite direction to the first image. Now that you have seen it, you have to admit, light is a most wonderful person.
